SDO of BSNL has informed that my BB connections have been routed through new pillar. But there is no physical evidence confirming same. I mean I neither see any new overheadcable reaching my junction box,nor there is any evidence of digging to connect new underground cable with old underground cable. There is no change in SNR MARGIN or ATTENUATION after "connection with new pillar". This SDO is pathological liar,so I want to know ways to confirm that I have been provided BB connection from another pillar

There is no other way to confirm. No change in attainable line rate too? He probably *IS* lying.
May I ask lineman to make a call to my landline number from "NEW" pillar?

crap, U cannot verify that (untill and unless u know to which pillar it was connected early), pillar is one where 2 or more isp/copper line cable meets. Each area has many pillars. Depending upon your street it is connected to nearest pillar. Sometimes thay change it if there is no good lines in that pillar/ cable fault, of course they have to change in mdf of your exchange also.

I know to which pillar it was connected earlier. And I think,if lineman can call my landline number from new Pillar it will confirm that my line has been transferred to new pillar.

Generally, pillar is the termination point of primary copper cable from the Telephone Exchange, DP(Distribution Point) is the termination of Secondary copper cable from the pillar and drop wire is extended from the DP to customer premise which is terminated by a Line Jack. It is not possible to confirm unless you are allowed to verify physically since it requires physical examination at Exchange end too. In your case, copper phone cable connection (Primary only) may have been tapped from another pillar to rectify the line problem, but still you are facing the same problem with your speed in respect of your tariff plan, you can ask BSNL to have a brief demonstration of your internet speed. If line problem persists, they will fix the problem by rectifying the fault of secondary copper cable/ drop wire / splitter/ DSLAM port or the existing working primary copper cable.
