i have bought Epson L3210 NON wifi printer as i saw that there is a USB port on the router provided by airtel, i have bought 6 months postpaid plan, name of the router is DASAN H660GM-A. On plugging the printer in the router i can't get it to work. where is the usb port settings on this router ? the printer works fine when connecting directly to pc.

So, what can be a good solution for OP? Are there switches type devices that can be connected to the router which have a USB port on them that can be used with a printer? Or would he just have to get a proper router with USB port?

Why not use Wifi? (If the printer supports it). My printer too has USB & Wifi and I never touched the USB thing and the cable is lying somewhere... Wireless is so convenient.

i intentionally bought the non wifi varient as i saw the usb port on the back of the router
there is a difference of nearly 2-3k rs between the non wifi and wifi varients of same printer

one more thing, do any router of Airtel have support for FTP? i can talk with the local supplier and see if they can provide me one instead of this !

Do not take any buying decisions of peripherals based on what ISP provided router is in your home. It's likely to be locked and also it's ISP property, so they at their own discretion can change/modify/replace it with another model/brand as per their requirement or any technical feasibility.

Always put ISP router in Bridge (Airtel NOC team does it for you from the backend) and put your own good quality feature rich router (which is 100% under your control) front ending ISP WAN. Then make all buying decisions.
