Hi,

I have a Netgear router FVG318 connected to the Airtel DSL modem. Apparently I have a double-NAT situation. Traceroute shows:
traceroute to MobileMe (17.250.248.32), 64 hops max, 52 byte packets
1 192.168.0.1 (192.168.0.1) 2.255 ms 1.992 ms 1.696 ms
2 192.168.1.1 (192.168.1.1) 3.732 ms 3.383 ms 3.347 ms

My Netgear router is at 192.168.0.1

I was told to turn off NAT on the DSL modem. I am able to access the web-basd configuration for the DSL modem, but don't see an option for disabling NAT.

Please help?

Sunil.

change the connection mode (WAN settings) in the Airtel Modem to bridge mode..NAT will automatically turn off

I'm sorry if I am being dense. I looked on the WAN settings page, but cannot find anything that will change the connection mode to bridge mode? I've attached a pic of my WAN settings page.

1. Click on Edit for VPI/VCI - 1/322. Click Next3. Select Bridging > Click NextContinue further with default values till you save the settings. But Caution : before you change this ensure that you have your DSL Username and Password, bcos you will have to configure the WAN on your Netgear to PPPoE mode and then enter the DSL username and password to work.
