How to Downgrade BSNL Fiber Plan?

Can anyone tell me how to downgrade my BSNL plan. Currently i am using Fiber Value plan and since i am going to office (located in another city), no one will use the broadband at home. I want to change the plan from Fiber value to fiber basic or fiber basis plus. Earlier in the selfcare portal, there was an option to change the plan (either upgrade or downgrade) but now the option is to only upgrade the plan. Is there any other way to do it?
 
Solution
BSNL has recently removed the Change of Tariff plan option on the Self-care portal. You have two options now , go to their office and give a Letter , or tweet to them on the BSNL page or call your LCO and tell him to downgrade if he can. I have not tested the LCO part.
I will advise not to go out for that. Tweet them and try to change it.
Please tell me what information you have to provide them to downgrade the plan via twitter DM?
Also is your connection provided by LCO or direct bsnl?

I have a Bharat Fiber Connection (My BSNL Landline No). I am currently using Fiber Basic Plus Plan for monthly rental of Rs 599. I wish to downgrade to Fiber Basic Plan which is for Rs 449 monthly.
But unfortunately the option to downgrade plan has been removed from the self-care portal. You can only upgrade the plan.
I request you to please change the plan. It is disappointing that even in 2021 you have to visit office of BSNL just for a plan change. Please look into this issue and kindly accept my request for the plan change.

Update: Now they seems to be listening to customer. I DM'ed to BSNL corporate twitter to change my plan. I got replay that goto exchange for that. I gave them little speech.They gave me 2 email IDs for written application.
Just in 6 minutes of sending email, my plan got changed.

Choose your circle, here you will see e-mail of your SSA. Send them e-mail with hand written application for plan change with your signature and date and your current plan info and to what plan you want to change.
Send the email in below format

Hi Sir/Madam

I am currently on fiber value plan please change it to fiber basic plus 599.
please find the written application for the same with this mail.

BSNL has long removed the option to downgrade. It is Wise not to use the Selfcare Portal for ANY Plan Changes. The site is antique and functions very poorly. Moreover, there are MANY confusing Codes.
The best way is to Approach a BSNL Office with a Written Request Asking for a Specific Plan. DO NOT Mention "Downgrade" ANYWHERE. Just mention that the subscriber wants a So-And-So Plan for the FTTH Connection (Mention Number and Subscriber Account Name and Number).
It is important to clear ALL previous dues and approach the BSNL Office about 1 or 2 days AFTER Bill Payment.

I called my lco and he did all the work of writing the letters and stuff, I just read the letter and signed. Then he took the letter to the nearest office and my plan got downgraded in like a week. I suggest you first contact your lco first
