How to get High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) and color fuel stickers in India?

Apparently they are mandatory in metro cities now?

I have not heard much about them but this looks like another major scam in the making.

You cannot get a number plate made from a local car accessories shop now?

What exactly is in the number plate? RFID tags? What is the purpose?

I guess this is going to become another nuisance for the car owners in India as they would be challaned for not having these new plates.

Justice Rajiv Shakdher wondered why buyers should suffer for lack of coordination between the authorities and the car dealers, while hearing a petition by a woman lawyer highlighting the problem. Bowing to the concerns voiced by HC, the government said it has deferred a proposed crackdown on vehicles without the numberplates till Thursday.

Mine is not home delivery though. Hyundai service center thankfully. Probably would cost more than 100 bucks in fuel though 😂
 
But for you sticker and fitment cost is 124, for me it is 100 and then convenience fee.
Since mine is home delivery I wonder if they should pay me the fitment charges.
 
i am kind of surprised about the two option it gave me for install. one was an unknown outlet. second one i picked was my regular service center. great experience there. so i think it should be smooth for me. would confirm on appointment day if the sticker has been delivered.
 
I paid 295 including home delivery n every fees.
But nowhere was mentioned where to visit on appointment day?

noticed this on a car in the lane. this was transparent lol. i wonder what is going on.
 
Anyone else facing this issue that they cannot change the month while selecting the appointment? And all dates for March are already gone?

Be patient. When you change month, it queries each date of subsequent month one by one to check the availability, hence changing month is time consuming. Check network tab in developers tool.
 
But how do I change the month? There seems to be no option for it, no arrows, etc
