All mid end phone supports single band N 20mhz and dual band AC 40mhz while higher end support dual band N 40mhz and 80mhz AC.
Atleast true for Samsung M series & S series resp.
I'm using Redmi K20 Pro indian version . It supports dual band N 20mhz and 80mhz AC and has 2*2 MIMO . There is no N 40mhz support which is weird. Maybe the issue is with MIUI Indian ROM.

Only my old retired Honor Holly 2 plus reaches 90Mbps on 2.4Ghz...... all other phones max out at 55Mbps on 2.4Ghz irrespective of 20/ 40mhz Channel Width.

The issue can also be the WiFi channel you are using. Changing WiFi channels will give you drastic improvement in terms of speed. It also depends on various factors .

Yes. Thats true. on my laptop i get 90 mbps with 2.4 Ghz. But on my Samsung A50, i get only 40 to 50 mbps.

Only if i connect to 5 ghz i get above 100 mbps speed. I problem with 5 ghz is that it wont cover whole house. Its coverage is less compared to 2.4 ghz.

My father has Samsung F41, wifi link speed is 72 mbps and actual speed goes upto 55 mbps only whereas I have Nokia 6.1 and link speed is 150 mbps and speed I get is around 90-95 mbps on 2.4 GHz, so basically it depends on device.

I am using Poco X3. Speeds were upto 90mbps on 144 mbps link speed. So was thinking if it would improve if I move to 200 mbps plan.
