How to get rid of irritating 8 digit number

yeah - this is not something new w.r.t. DTH... this has been there for many years with regular cable (hence my suggestion that perhaps it's a technical thing they are too lazy to solve). The main thing is that someone should take them to court for deficient service... or failing that, at least create such a nuisance for them (in terms of say bad publicity) that they stop it.

Please do send them a letter of complaint. They won't even think of changing it unless they know it's pissing people off.

Sushubh, there is a difference between the Watermarks that you see on Tata Sky and on ESPN. The one you see on ESPN is shown on that channel only, irrespective of whether you watch it on Tata or on Cable TV.That is from ESPN directly. The watermark from Tata Sky appears on all the channels at the same time even if you change the channel. Though the reason for both is same i.e. to curb the piracy. So if you are watching ESPN and both ESPN and Tata Sky display the watermark at the same time, you will see 2 different watermarks at the same time. This can't be the case with the Cable operator.

did we have chouse the right thing to watch or this we call the proper entertainment in Tata Sky there is 8 digit number that flash on the screen at every 15min if some one had notice there is also a 12 digit number that flash every 1hr or 2he there is watermark tag on the bottom right of the screen there is a chanel logo on the top right or left of the screen when we see the active sports there is one warning flash for every 30min or 20 min i dont know the prop[er what it says but it goes like This (This Illigel To Show this Signal Bla....Bla....Bla ....Bla If You See This Channel Please Call Bla...Bla...Bla) what the hell is that we are paying Rs.300pm for entertainment and on the screen what we see as chashti said number takes your attention while watching watching some thing interestingthere is also onother problem with TATA(SKY on the active sports the other two camera angel is not showing in full screen
