How to lock your Aadhaar Biometric Details?

It unlocks just for 20minutes. And relocks it.

So only option you have is "disable" locking (which is permanent till u lock it again) at beginning of the day when you plan the activity. And lock it again when done.

1) Unlock (which is for 10mins)
2) Disable (which is till u lock it again)

Reading all this makes me want to lock my biometrics too. Gonna try that M-Adhaar app.

if you unlock, it grants you temporary access for 10 mins. Best thing to is just disable it till your work gets done and then lock it again

Even if you lock it, I think you'll get an OTP to your registered number whenever an service tries to authenticate.

I was porting my number recently and had to verify my Aadhaar with finger print scan at Airtel Store but forogt that I had locked biometrics.... so the Airtel rep. said that my biometrics are locked..... I said it is no issue, will just unlock it online......... but the website is very very slow and while opening in Chrome..... it would not let me enter the otp...... anything I entered was a blank.... ultimately I gave up and disabled the Aadhaar biometrics later at home on my desktop.

Even the app has very bad review particularly about Biometric locking and unlocking....

managed to unlock it through the website. took multiple attempts to login. would keep it disabled till dad's life certification work is done. 10 minute unlock is useless honestly when the system is so unreliable.

the app still shows that the biometric is locked. i am guessing it would take it a few hours to notice the unlock update from the website?
