I would like to bring to your kind notice as follows :
I am a current subscriber to DishTV for over 1 year.
[*]W.e.f. 10th December, DishTV has increased the price of its Maxi package from Rs. 300 incl S. tax to Rs 300 + S Tax, which means increase of 12.36%.
[*]If I want to remove Hindi / Punjabi Tadka (which is part of Maxi but also separately priced @ Rs.25 + S tax under la-carte) to get reduction of Rs. 25 + Tax which I do not view, they do not allow it. In stead of reducing the oveall price, I was prepared to replace it by CNBC. But, DishTV wants subscribers of Maxi package to compulsorily pay for Hindi / Punjabi Takda too.
[*]For those having multiple
TV in one location where first TV is called Parent and Second / Third as Child, they have removed old Child connection system and want to collect full pack value (i.e. Rs. 338) for the child connection instead of approx. Rs. 175 earlier, which is a major change for existing customers. They claim on their website that they are not forcing customers to opt for new package (they allow to continue maxi package) but at the same time, they say that old child connection system in no longer valid and all have to come to the new package system which is almost double the price.
[*]There are some free to air channels like Sadhna, Sanskar which they do not relay.
[*]They are not giving option of NEO sports, UTV also and we are stuck up with them.
I would like to raise voice against such unethical moves of DishTV.
[/list]If it is actionable under TRAI's provisions, pl take necessary action to get the remedial action taken by them.
Also pl inform whether system of FTAs for free and Rs. 5 per pay channel (+ 7% increase allowed recently) to be opted by the consumers is applicable to them, if not, whether TRAI can consider to make such regulation for DTH operators too.
