How to pause Airtel Broadband connection temporarily?

how do I pause/soft disconnect my connection like maybe for a month so I can try other ISPs in the mean time and reconnect back if they the other ISP is not good? When I was on excitel, it was prepaid and all I had to do was not recharge.

How does things work with airtel? my bill will be due next week.

If it is airtel postpaid, you can keep the connection in safe custody. It is not free though. It costs Rs 199 + GST per month.

prepaid is not available in my city. Is there no other way besides paying for safe custody?
