Due to some software problem i had to format my systemand i lost my dataone usuage checking password , but i know username , since it is my name itself. You should be contacting the nearest exchange. They will reset the credentials to the default ones.

Presume you have the User ID and password to use the modem and connect to internet.
1.If this is the password you need, OR
2.If it is the 14digit portal ID , contact the exchange or CC or 12678 or 12768( technical assistance during working hours ). Please check telephone number I forgot ).
3. Have you used bsnl web mail ID ? Try, forgot password there. same for 1.

Para two : For 1 above, did you enter the password in the modem for "always on" connection 'It can be extracted from the modem with a special program.

If you have not changed your password after getting connection then you may try with 'password' . If this do not work and the internet you use earlier was setup in PPPoE always on mode then you can recover your password from the modem configuration page. If either of this don't work then you may have to contact BSNl pesonals to get a new pasword.
