How to setup a pppoe connection in G-2425G-A

Finally got my hands on this, unlocked it using the guide here. Unfortunately I'm unable to get my internet working. A couple issues I have with it are as follows:

• I have no idea which is the PON or LOS light here. When I powered it on before unlocking and connected the LAN cable, it never blinked any lights red for lack of a PON cable. Since other ONUs I've seen so far all blink red LOS for lack of a PON cable, and blink red PON if there's any downtime on ISP end. I hadn't connected the PON cable yet so can't say if it detected before the unlock or not.
• Even after connecting the PON cable no other light light up, and PON link status in the GUI says Down. BRAS connection Status is disconnected.
• My ISP says I don't need anything else other than my pppoe user and pass, they don't store the MAC IDs now nor use the SN to block router access, as per the local operator. Maybe I should consult the main ISP itself.
• I only have the pppoe user and pass, service name with me (although there's no option for service name here). And I deleted all other ppp entries.

Here are the settings I did. Created a new entry for Internet. Vlan ID I let it to be 999 (don't know if it matters or not, let me know otherwise if it does) and then set my pppoe user and pass before saving. I restarted the router too but to no avail. I can't see the light for internet, nor auth blinking at all even with the pon cable. USB works, lan ports all work. Wifi works and all of their lights light up except for the internet and auth on the router.

If this is Airtel, use 100 for VLAN ID.
And, if you are not aware of these things and really do not need them, I would not suggest playing with them.

Your router is the property of Airtel and they are responsible for any issues. If anything goes wrong with this way, they might not provide you with the necessary support.

No I'm not using it on Airtel network and no the router isn't provided by airtel either. Since I unlocked it using this and then reset it just in case. It's factory default without Airtel settings. I'm using it on ANI network and the ISP simply says I only need the pppoe user and pass for it to work.

Anyhow, as I also said idk which light should blink red for lack of the pon cable if any light actually does, and which one should indicate that the cable is plugged in. Not that any other lights blink up. If you have any idea please let me know. I'm guessing the pon port is simply faulty.
