Hey, I recently got Jio fiber connection and I am using it with a ODI SFP (i.e. Without their provider Home Gateway / CPE).

In Jio join application on my phone, I get an error that says, "Please connect to Jiofiber Wifi and try again".

Does any one here know what do I need to do to make this work properly?

it needs to resolve jiofiber.local.html to your gateway address. If you were using their DNS and ONT then it would automatically resolve to 192.168.33.1 or something.

If you have changed it then you need to point jiofiber.local.html to the gateway IP

@greghouse Tried mapping jiofiber.local.html and jiofi.local.html to the gateway address and it doesn't work

Okay so that was wrong. I was not setting DNS responses for that domain correctly.

After doing that, I am not sure if this'll work.

JioJoin/JioCall apps try to reach for some thing at <router-ip-address>:8080, <router-ip-address>:6666. Since I am using Mikrotik router, I likely don't have whatever they are expecting to be running on those ports. For that reason, It goes on for a while and then throws an error.

It was also trying to reach for some thing at <dns-server>:7443
