CNN thinks the same ways. Why would HP make more TouchPads to sell at a loss? - Apple 2.0 - Fortune Tech

their suppliers are probably not happy as they would have unused inventory of raw parts.

and you cannot annoy your chinese suppliers!

and you can keep dreaming. HP is not going to update webos in the future. they just released on minor update that brings document editing capabilities to touchpad. other than that? they really have no reasons to continue developing webos when they are looking set to sell their highly profitable PC business too.

I just bought a HP Touchpad. Now got to wait until Sunday to get my hands on it. Then plan to install Cyanogenmod on it and run WebOS + Android. Any one know of any Indian websites where I can buy screen shields and accessories for the HP Touchpad?

just so you know, current Cyanogenmod alpha build is really bad/unstablebetter wait for beta version

Doesn't really matter.. I bought it mainly to play around with it and try the Cyanogenmod. It is an alpha build and will not be perfect. There have been mixed reviews about it. Some have found it to be stable and usable and others not so much. There is also a new XRON Android mod for the Touchpad that is a tweak of the Cyanogenmod. I'll have to decide which one I want to try. Maybe both..

does not change much. to ensure regular solid updates, HP would have to take the initiative which they are not very interested in right now. sticking to android is going to be a better decision. Asus transformer prime pricing should be interesting to see. if priced competitively it could change the landscape in india.

WebOS is a great platform, but right now WebOS has very little developer support. If you are in India then you don't have access to many WebOS apps. It makes more sense for me to use it as an Android tablet. I'm running CM7 on my Touchpad and it is fun to use. I'm waiting for the CM ICS release for the Touchpad. IMO the 12K I paid for it was well worth it.

wow thats great .. just for 12k .. many were trying to get that for 100$ .. but fails .. how you got this one ...
