it has the best hardware specifications (processor wise) of ANY phone in the market. 1.7GHz quad core processor. RAM is 1GB though. But there is only one model which comes with 64GB storage. So, pricing is not really a shocker.
Well its kind of a over kill and over priced for a phone , just my opinion. given the current trends , pricing at 40K that too in indian market ? good luck HTC.I saw in a video that when the Nex4 launches , majority of the phone prices will come down . So waiting a little bit longer , may be till Christmas, will be excellent time to buy new phone.
it has the best display available on any phone in the market.
it has the fastest processor available on any phone in the market.
it has the maximum storage available on any phone in the market.
just because nexus 4 could be priced at around 25K does not mean that a device with high end specification should go for a cheaper price tag.
And 40k is MRP. it should sell at prices comparable to S3 or NoteII.
I am not saying it should be priced at Nex4 range , but given the trend , i feel that the phone , particularly the storage is a overkill , may be a 8/16/32GB version phones at little cheaper price would have been better.
But then again you have to live with poor battery and lesser performing CPU compared to one X +.If One X+ was priced at around 30-35K , or 2-4K higher than One X , i might even get one , provided if they can give 8/16Gb etc versions (too save some $$ for them).Specs are awesome , no doubt , but making it available to 30K+ range buyers , would have been good , particularly given the condition of the company
lol. and i had like to have the htc one x's body and display with samsung's internal with nexus 4's software and price tag alongside AppleiPhone 5's camera. get over it. there are plenty of options in the 25-40K price segment when it comes to android devices.and retail prices should not be more than 4k above the one x. everyone knows how htc devices end up getting discounted deals from various stores because they do not sell as many units as samsung.
another thing. having four storage variants would have meant that one x+ 16GB would be competing against one x 32GB and so on. you do not price your devices to compete against each other.
