Something like... You know it is a ghanta moment (or whatever) when people give a sigh of relief that the new phone costs just Rs. 42990.

So it is still restricted to Netherlands? Also, the manufacturer broke the NDA and not HTC? In any case, shame.

The stance is very solid that Nokia should get injunctions from other courts too if things do not settle after this injunction. Also, Germany and Netherlands are the two big markets from where EU electronic supply chain begins. And HTC has coined this technology in their marketing very aggressively (as HDR audio recording). They can prove that they were unaware of NDA between ST and Nokia but they would effectively be suing ST for damages. Also, this won't mean they unintentionally used unlicensed Nokia technology in their product. And I am sure HTC would not want to sue ST as they would be in financial jeopardy before it even comes to trial and the time, everything of this may take.

BTW, HTC One looks totally messed up inside compared to Lumia 720, as engadget readers pointed out. I hope this is preproduction unit. For me, It looks like what we used to assemble for projects during graduation! :nonchalance:

I can not imagine the damages if Nokia is not ready to licence out their technology (unlikely to happen) and want a ban on product in it's current form. It will take HTC forever to bring the modified product to shelves even if they do it at manufacturing level today itself. (usually, there is at least two week's of inventory in supply chain for electronics). AND Galaxy S4 is just coming!

In HTC and Nokia's ongoing patent litigation, one patent infringement claim against HTC was dismissed today by the District Court of Mannheim, Germany. The patent in question -- regarding "a communication network terminal for accessing internet" -- describes a "terminal" that can access the internet.

They got relief in another case.
