I am done with Airtel

Reached out to Airtel to enable bridge mode and they enabled static ip for me stating its needed for bridge mode and a charge of 299 per month would need to be paid for the same. post which bridge mode will be enabled. These guys are just useless. Raised a complaint now stating i do not want static ip.

Worse part is the technical engineer assigned to come to my house also was calling and repeating the same thing. Heights of scamming i would say. I told him you call yourself a technical engineer when you do not know the difference between Birdge Mode and Static IP. He said Saar Bridge mode can only be enabled post taking static Ip.

Yep, this static IP plus bridge mode upselling strategy of Airtel is a tale as old as time, brdr

Just wanted to try this route once to enable bridge mode, but its a waste of time and is not going to work. They just changed the engineer and tomorrow morning again, same thing will happen.

Got call from social media team. They said it will take couple of days to close the current request of static IP post which they would look at enabling bridge mode. But can't trust them as read many such posts where nothing happened for weeks on reddit.

Guys, finally after 2 days of struggle. Today while i was at work, they sent a engineer home and he configured Bridge mode on the Airtel ZTE router.
Finally i was able to get the same to work in my existing router itself without static IP.

I have his number, but these guys don't entertain calls without tickets. Usually local engineers come. Some 4 to 5 engineers called me for this and all said the same things no Bridge mode without static ip. So not sure if this is being done purposely just to get 299+ gst out of customers who would not understand the difference.

Today also 3 calls came from Airtel to check if everything is working fine or not. 1 from social media team , 1 from site engineer and 1 from support.
Guess they only wake up post you make hell lot of noise.
