i am interested in BSNL home 500 but dont understand what "upto 2mb/s" means plz help ...........
it says from 256kB/s upto 2mB/s ..... dose'nt it means its 2mb/s ??

Min speed is 256 kbps under this plan and max you'll get is 2 mbps depending upon the exchange and line. May be 2 mbps or less than 2 mbps.

i think i shd get 2mb/s at night rt ??

There are no such gurantees. A lot depends on your distance from BSNL exchange and of course the total bandwidth allocated to your area/city/circle.

For the record, I get about 1600 kb/seconds when I test with Dataone.in speedtest. Day or night. Other users get better speeds. It varies. Home 500 is still incredible value though, I have the same plan.

I get only 1.4 Mbps speed. But no other broadband paln of any ISP in my area(Hyd) can match with this plan's Data capabilities Vs Cost. [ and in H500C plan Additionally we get 175 free calls without telephone rental]This is the best plan__________________Waiting for Railtel to spread its network to other cities

upto means they don't gurantee a speed of 2mb/ps. But generally you can expect a speed of around 150 KB/ps to 200 KB/ps

i am in kolkata in saltlake any idea then ??? i hope it wont b less then 100kb/s bcoz then i will go mad and it should not b bcoz kolkata is the 3ed country after delhi and mumbai so speed should b good :)
