To give a background, I applied for new connection of AirFiber and it was installed on 17th June 2024. 22nd July, it stopped working and initially when I raised complaint, Airtel team said that it must be an issue in cabling only and a person was assigned. This service engineer did not visit and told my area is not in his scope. I raised the same concern back to customer care, and they said they will fix it. 20 days later, after no support, multiple escalation calls, I chose to disconnect, and I was told I will be issued an refund. It's been almost close to 45 days since disconnection, and there is not status of refund. I have tried calling AirFiber customer care but call won't connect because my registered number is disconnected & other customer care numbers tell I have to connect with AirFiber team only.
I have also written multiple times to nodal officer yet no response. Can someone guide me on how do I get my refund.

It took me 3-4 months, they couriered a cheque to me.
You must have the credit due visible in your Airtel account.

Email all these addresses and keep spamming - I have had success with it;

To: 121 <121@airtel.com>, <nch-ca@gov.in>, <dthnodal.mpcg@airtel.com>, <121@in.airtel.com>, <appellate.central@in.airtel.com>, <appellate.mpcg@in.airtel.com>,<Net@airtel.com> ,<CEO.India@airtel.com>,Digamber Bahuguna <digamber.bahuguna@airtel.com>

replace appellate and nodals for your own state.

Net@airtel.com is their escalation team's email - who actually gets shit done.

Like @siddhu2310 file a complaint to NCH online and chuck the docket no in the title.

Also also a complaint here - CPGRAMS-Home -
Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System

Apart from that LinkedIn - add Gopal Vittal the CEO this Digamber Bahuguna dude how is head of the Business relations other execs , and Twitter

Highlight the fact that you have been misled and fraudulently sold the service by the field sales guy, add his name too.

Goodluck!

and please update this thread if/when you get some traction so other can see it too, cheers

@Lolita_Magnum Same issue here. Disconnected on Day-2 (Sent email on June 19th). Still yet to get the refund of ₹1,104. I have a snapshot of the balance credit in account. Going to escalate through Twitter and email.

Ok i got my refund finally. @UncleSamGoaWale the net@email works. I had someone call me on a Sunday afternoon to follow up on it till I confirmed that I'd received the refund in the source account. Timelines - Connection taken July 10th, Emailed 121@ July 19th. Official disconnect after multiple requests was September 2nd. Received the refund last week. So it takes about 45 days.

Anyone know if it's possible to make use of the disconnected AirFiber devices / ODU or is it e-waste?

You should keep the device with you. Maybe Airtel person will collect the device from you or if you put the postpaid sim inside it, you will be able to access the internet again.
