i got cheated by Airtel Broadband in changing my plan %$%$*~!

Firstly, unless you have asked in writing , either by giving an application, or by email
they normally will not change the plan.Even assuming they changed it , on their own,
AND IF IT IS NOT TO YOUR LIKING, SEND AN EMAIL TO CC OR CONTACT ON PHONE.
They will not send anything in writing to you, but will change the tariff plan.
Secondly, as we don't know where fh is in India, difficult to comment
as Airtel has different tariff plans for each State.
Thirdly register for Airtel Selfcare NOW and check online your
usage/billing details at https://ebpp.airtelworld.com/cares/wps/myportal.
Fourthly: to register go to nearest Airtel office with Photo Identity, a spare color photo
and fill up a form for Selfcare.You will be sent the ID and password by email. ( within two or three days)

Always send an email to CC , getting clarification before changing your tariff plan.
I wanted to change my 250Plan ( Rs 250 400 MB NU free Rs 99 256 Kbps)
to Top up Plan 250 ( 1 GB 2 Mbps Rs 250). They said I have to select another Telephone plan and NU will be cancelled. I am sticking with the 256 Kbps speed,
and upgrade my Home250 plan of DATAone to Home 500 shortly.
You must appreciate, AIRTEL because they don't change any tariff plan once agreed to earlier. Otherwise my NU free ( 2100-0800) would have been cancelled long back.
