when there is heavy rain..the signal lost for the few minutes or so..then came back but only when there is very heave rain...the same things happens in USA where (Dish network & DirectV)...DTH operator in USA where my elder brother lives...he has above 2 dish install at his home....both dish lost signal for few minutes when there is thunderstorm,heavy rain & heavy snow in winter...they lost signal for few minutes & then come back....
so v r not the only one who suffer lost signal...but the USA & other european country is also facing same problem./....no one is able find solution on that...

thats because of KU band frequency thats used by DTH ,logic is high frequency signals degrades during rain compared to low freq,thats why older dish antennas were big because they were C Band low frequency signals which needed big dish to catch the signal.bottom line low frequency big dish antenna ,higher frequency small dish
