Hello I am trying to buy a laptop for 50k selected 2 models

1. Buy ASUS VivoBook Ultra 15 AMD Ryzen 5 4500U 15.6-inch FHD Thin and Light Laptop (8GB RAM/512GB NVMe SSD/Windows 10/Integrated Graphics/Bespoke Black/1.80 kg), M513IA-EJ310T Online at Low Prices in India - Amazon.in

2. Buy HP 15 10th Gen Intel Core i5 15.6-Inch FHD Laptop (Intel i5-10210U/4GB/512GB SSD/MS Office/Win 10/Jet Black/1.74kg), 15s-du1065TU Online at Low Prices in India - Amazon.in

One is from Asus and another is from HP. Asus is giving a better deal with possible future upgrade also can extended 3yrs of warranty for just Rs.999. Hp also can be upgraded but it's coming only with 1yr and warranty extension quite costly. No the main concern asus after sale service and reliability if my laptop stays half the time in the service then what is the benefit. Can anyone of you share your reviews regarding this.
Thank you.

@supukabi This Asus is pretty decent. Just ordered one yesterday night.

Asus is pretty good and will last long in my experience.

Do you have any experience regarding asus service? Also asus consumer laptops are very notorious regarding keyboard and touchpad as far as I have read reviews. This model you will stuck with 8gb only and in ryzen 2gb will be gone so 6gb free. This limitations not good.

@supukabi only around 0.6gb is being used. Around 7.4gb usable is what I have seen from some reviews. Moreover, my main usage will be web browsing, Youtube and some light coding. So, 8gb should suffice. I did know that RAM was not upgradeable before buying.

Regarding service, I don't have any experience. Many of my friends own previous Vivobook models. None of them had any issues and hence no experience regarding service. No idea regarding keyboard and trackpad issues too. All my friends' laptops are pretty sturdy and good.

You won't get a fulfilling answer because you never specified your expectations out of your laptop like how many years of life do you want to use it without degradation in quality of experience(like overheating, battery quality degraded), what are you looking to do out of it, are you aiming for more portability(hence more battery usage)

Lastly, this is sour truth: If your budget is 50k strict then ask your relative or someone to buy it from America, you'll get better deal for your money

In India, due to heavy taxes, any laptop of Rs. 50k equivalent quality you could buy abroad would be somewhere around 75k-85k(85k most probably)

Regarding servicing, it's hit or miss for any brand in India (exception EVGA but require you to ship abroad for RMA) unless you buy bulk from dealer or know them personally.

Lastly one thing you can do is import a lappy and declare it as requirement for work to ease off few taxes( still requires some paperwork)

Right now I would recommend you to go for AMD Ryzen for laptops(low tdp and more life)

@Realme thank you for your valuable comment. I want a laptop which will last at least 4-5 yrs coming to the battery I know it will not last more than 2 yrs and I am ok with that. Regarding portability I don’t travel that much so it’s not an issue. I thought of building a PC but I can’t keep two pc’s I have already one which is used by my father. Also I have used a Dell vostro which I bought in 2011 that thing never gave me a problem till now recently I sold it because it became very old. I want to run android studio so I am looking for 4core processor, 8gb of ram expandable up to 12/16gb and nvme SSD for seamless performance.
As of now the service quality of two brands is very good HP which is experienced by me because I bought a i3 model in flipkart but it’s screen was little bit inclined which I think was a manufacturing defect so I raised a complaint in flipkart and they forwarded to the service centre just one day after technician came to my house they declared it as doa unit and also I am able to return it. 2nd is dell which I have never experienced but heard many good things about them. These brands also have ryzen laptop but can’t find one all are out of stock in that price range. Also there is no relatives of mine staying outside India so I am not considering that option.
Also regarding other brands never seen a good response from their owners see this
