Just came across this thread... OP: Sue their asses to hell! They have gone to the sh*ts now. Damn you airtel...good thing i did not go in for their dth.. i'm boycotting any more of their services.. as far as bb goes its my least expensive and reliable choice.Calls to relatives...WTF!?

I am in the same boat as you now. I have asked for a shifting in the connection and till date even after 15 odd days they have not managed to do that. There have been 4 different complaint numbers raised for this and I am just tired that I cannot keep calling up Airtel every day to get an update regarding my connection.
I have clearly mentioned in my email to customer care that I will not pay watever is due on my name as they have failed to provide me with service for the past 15 days. I have lost complete faith in Airtel and my patience.
Don't know what will happen now. Will keep updating this thread.

This is really pathetic. Such a shame AirtelThey don't have any rights to call the relatives even if someone doesn't pay the bill for what they used. In this case they call and threaten others for the fault of theirs.. What an irresponsible and pathetic behavior of Airtel... sad....
i think i am going to face similar problems from HDFC bank. one of the guys who used to work from my SoHo defaulted on his credit card payments. the address connected to that account is my home address (don't ask 
). i saw a letter from the bank on how the payments have not been made. they have refered his account to recovery department. and also forwarded his details to the credit authority of India... and they would soon initiate legal action. and since the only address they have is mine. my dad is going to get bombarded with threat calls from their recovery agents.
