Register for DND here: Do Not Call Registration | IDFC FIRST Bank. it might not work if they have outsourced sales calls. but i did register here and i do not get any calls for loans. I get texts. And they stop for a while when I complain. But they sent one earlier today so I am guessing the shit restarted and I would have to complain again.

Same problem with StanChart. Multiple texts every single day. Same texts every single day. Their DND is for phone calls so it does not work for me. I have filed a complaint multiple times. Every time they promise that promotional texts would stop. But they don't. Probably because the texts are not exactly for loans and promotional in nature. But they still are not transactional and are still very annoying.

Do I need to be reminded of the same message every day of the week? No.

And then there are banks like HDFC who straight up deny saying that the numbers don't belong to our employees.

Getting too many calls from idfc bank for the last 3-4 days. They are very keen to give a personal loan.
I've refused a few times but they persist.

you tell them you have some money due to credit card payment, lost your job and you want this loan badly. they will disconnect and never call you, that is what i did.

since you are already using truecaller and i assume these numbers are recognized properly... i would recommend blocking them as they keep on coming. file a dnd complaint if that's an option on ios. apply for dnd on the website. send a complaint to the bank on email ([email protected]). if this account is non essential, consider shutting down the account as well.

truecaller doesn't really work on ios. It only blocks some numbers already stored on device and most of the time it only identify numbers when you've already received/missed a call with search option.
