why would one's life become dangerous? discovering information about prime numbers breaks crypto? governments might come after one's life?

From what I have gathered, a proof will open up ways to predict the nth prime. PKC is based on two different assumptions - primes are randomly distributed, and factoring of large numbers is a difficult job.
