i started buying powerbanks since 2018 and here’s how long it lasted

Mi 10000 mah (Oct 2018-nov 2020) - battery swollen

Mi 20000 Mah (Jan 2021 - oct 2023) - battery swollen

Mi 10000 mah (Aug 2022-now) - battery swollen

All of them were working even with a swollen battery ,but it gave me a lot of paranoia as i felt it will blow up any sec but due to tight budget i keep using it with that risk

should i buy a different brand? Anyone has good experience?

Also:all the powerbanks were bought from Amazon and are original

@Sushubh
In Jan 2023
I got my iPhone 11’s battery replaced by a third party shop in Mumbai central After (Unicorn store broke the display and battery when i had gone for a battery replacement and refused to fix it and asked me to pay 21,000₹ for it)

After that i noticed my battery wouldn’t charge beyond 90% no matter how long i keep it on charge ,i tried googling for this problem but couldn’t anyone with the same problem

By May 2024 ,i checked my battery cycle and it showed 270 cycles which is really low as i keep charging and using my phone all day again and again it should’ve easily crossed 300 but it didnt

The 90% charge might’ve saved it? Idk cant say surely

But definitely slow charging post 80% helps the battery immensely

And this graph also shows the battery anxiety i have lol

60% and I’m swearing nervously

yeah i mean Exynos has been really shot on s21fe compared s10lite i used previously battery wise. battery life is still decent enough that I am not tempted to get it replaced right now. i also worry about samsung service center causing physical damage and making a mess of the phone during a simple battery replacement. but yeah probably next year, i would have to get a new battery. until then i just put the phone is extreme power save mode when i do not plan to use it for long durations while on the road.

I’m more concerned about your inability to see that they have put an unknown part in your phone - not from Apple. You cannot expect an ideal experience.

@Sushubh i see
This was the case for me when using the iPhone 7
Constant 24/7 low power mode ,until I realised low power mode cuts cpu performance by half
(All this time i was thinking its some Apple magic lol)

@Jonas thats just Apple not liking third party service Hence they put software which can detect such and trouble the users

my current phones display and battery are taken off an Original iPhone 11

Btw Truetone works as well

yeah i mean samsung has two modes. one where it limits resources. i do not use that. though phone is usable. the extreme mode basically limits the phone a lot and i have access to just eight selected apps. it really limits battery usage when i am sleeping or not using the phone for long periods.

@Crane if your iPhone is not getting charged beyond 90%, overheating while charging might be the reason. Do you use your device as a hotspot often? That might be one of the reason or excessive usage(high SOT) over mobile data. Also make sure to turn on charging optimisation.
I have noticed this a couple of times with my iPhone 12 when I am travelling and I have to turn on hotspot. The phone overheats like crazy and refuses to charge until the temperature goes back to normal.

I have been using mi 10k mAh powerbank since last 4 years and it has been fine. I use powerbank only while travelling as my iPhone is pretty old now so the battery won't last for the whole day if I am on mobile data(5G drains quite a lot of battery). My iPhone is 4 years old now and still at 84% battery capacity which is pretty great. Won't need a replacement for another year ig unless it falls below 80%.
