my concerns are this site lol. self-hosting all imgur hosted images here would require me to go back to using a s3 type service which would add another monthly bill to keep this site running.

I think by early 2026, this thread will be titled RIP Imgur. Imgur has blocked uploading from almost every country you can think of. So far, using VPN, only two countries you can only upload from - the Netherlands and Singapore. Either they are blocking VPN or blocking the country. They also blocked the UK. They fired all their support staff and replaced them with AI. Also, rumors say Imgur has run out of money.

So start using alternatives for image uploading. Imgbb is one. You can also try Imgchest, which is like an Imgur clone and can be configured in ShareX.
