In desperate need of Power backup

Light goes off 100 times in a day. Sometime it goes for a second and comes back. Sometimes it goes off for hours. I need a power backup solution for my work computer. UPS is not going to work (not enough backup). Was thinking of buying an Inverter having switchover time of less than 10ms. Any idea which inverter I should buy? Should have great on site warranty support. Thanks!

You would need a UPS along with an inverter. Normal inverters are not able to switch as fast as UPS, even the UPS mode on inverters doesn't make much difference.

You could get a UPS with external battery. I do use one from APC - APC Back-UPS 1000VA, 230V, without battery with selectable charger and flooded/SMF compatible - BX1000UXI | APC India

It's a bit noisy though. You can attach even a 150 AH battery to it, I currently have it running with 2x26AH SMF batteries.

Same here. I do have Microtek inverter already at home. It kept my PC running without any hitch. Having good PSU makes difference (Corsair RM850). It holds current long enough to keep PC running until inverter switches from mains to battery. Now I am at new location and need another inverter.
