To satisfy his need for freedom, Teddy decides to get far away from the madding crowd and starts living in a cabin on the frozen banks of Lake Baikal.
One night, lost in a blizzard, he is rescued by Alexey, a Russian on the run who has been living in the Siberian forest for years. Although the men share nothing in common, a friendship forms between them as sudden as it is fundamental.
