Take this stat/graph a pinch of salt.
I really dont think it could be real reason . I know there is growing number of people taking privacy little serious , but that jump is hard to believe .

Oh well, that is minimalistic in terms of absolute numbers. Approx. 33k at its peak before it started slipping down again.
Of a base of 15million broadband users in India that barely 0.22% when it peaked. I don't think apart from a handful, people are concerned about their privacy at all.
However, in terms of %age change, that is actually higher than US & UK.
