United Progressive Alliance Presidential candidate Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday said he has been making appeals to Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee every day asking her to vote for him.
"I appeal to her almost every day...that is for her to decide," Mukherjee told reporters when asked if he would appeal to the Trinamool Congress chief, a United Progressive Alliance ally at the Centre, to vote for him.

Though the Presidential polls are yet to held, Gondwana University has already described UPA candidate Pranab Mukherjee as "the 14th President of the country" in a just-published textbook.
The book, 'Democracy in India', has been prescribed for first year students of BA (Political Science) for the ongoing academic session of the newly-formed varsity.
Page number 84 under chapter 4 of the book, published under the heading 'Union Executive', has a chart of the Presidents of India in which Pranab has been mentioned as "the 14th President of India".

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh has got Rs 57,000 crore annual plan package from the Planning Commission of India. In addition, the state has also got sanction of Rs 800 crore for organising Kumbh mela next year in January in Allahabad. The decision was taken at a meeting attended by UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and deputy chairperson, Planning Commission, Montek Singh Ahluwalia in Delhi.

President poll: EC cancels Mulayam Singh Yadav's vote - Politics - Politics News - ibnlive
The Election Commission has cancelled Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav's vote in the Presidential poll that took place on Thursday. Mulayam Singh Yadav had marked his vote for Bharatiya Janata Party's President nominee PA Sangma 'by mistake', so he asked for a second ballot paper and was given the same.
In a written complaint to the Returning Officer for the poll, Sangma's election agent Satya Pal Jain had objected to the grant of second ballot paper to Mulayam, saying he was "not entitled to another one (ballot)" under the law.
Mulayam Singh Yadav marked his ballot paper in favour of Sangma and then realising his mistake tore it and requested the Returning Officer to give him another ballot paper, who issued another ballot paper to him. We have objected to the tearing of first ballot paper and objected to him being given another ballot paper, which he is not entitled to," Jain said in his complaint.
The Sangma camp had sought cancellation of the second ballot paper issued to him and demanded that the first vote marked by him be considered valid.
