So, they are supposedly shutting down their existing app on March 31. This is the new app. I am not a fan of the new design but I guess one would have to manage with it.

Weird thing is that when I try to login on dad's phone, it does not recognize him as a customer and tries to create a new account for him on app. Would have to visit branch to get that sorted out.

Not a fan of how it warned me that my Aadhaar is not connected and I should just do it right on the app. Also asked me to enter all details of debit card to login. This was after it verified my OTP, asked for my PAN (IIRC) and then generated a four digit login pin. Just ignored my login details.

Filed a complaint with bank. Guy on phone said, send entire error flow photos. Somehow it worked when I retried the process again today. New app is definitely slower and not as usable as the previous one but what can I do. Dad would have to relearn everything.

Not to mention PhonePe also has overhauled their UI and it is causing a lot of confusion for dad.

good god. this app makes me feel dumb. i just opened the app after a couple of days and i have no idea how to access recent transactions.

Never mind... Indus was having one of their post midnight downtime.

Old app no longer functional. You still can't download your yearly statement on this app. Freaks in charge.
 
So turns out six months is limit for statement download. To get a whole financial year statement, you need to download from April to September and then download from October to March. This is where we are in 2025. Also worth mentioning here is that you only get access to statements from 2024 in this app for now. No old data available. Brilliant.
