IndusInd Bank

Given the circumstances, I guess a bad idea to open an account here? Also which variant of account do you have here..

i mean... it has been a decent bank for me. my dad was the first one to open an account here during demonetization fiasco. he found out from a neighbor that indus didn't have any shortage of cash availability. i got his account opened and it was basically smooth cash withdrawal whenever we wanted during the worst of days. when i decided i needed a second backup account after yes, i picked indus.

the problem bits are mostly already posted by me across different threads. i do not like their new app. their management seems to be undergoing a crisis these days. my local atm is out of cash at a lot of time. bank disappears randomly from upi mostly around midnight and is inaccessible for hours. local staff is very courteous but is usually clueless about a bunch of things. one time i had to process an international payment and it took them like 10 days to process it. i have been trying to get estatement enabled on my account for the last two months. i have to wait an entire month to reapply after waiting for it to arrive during the first week of the month and so on.

if you have a branch locally, it should be fine for a backup account. i would not keep a lot of money in it though. i am slowly moving all my deposits away myself.

what variant of bank account i have? really have no clue. it says Savings Choice Account in backend for me.

Technofino seems like a super active community that you might want to check out for any detailed queries you might have 👍🏽

There is a branch nearby and I was thinking about parking some funds there. Not a lot, but let's say well within the limit up to which government will insure. I happened to explore and some accounts seem to have some decent reward system so fell attracted.

Truly lodu bank by god.
