Hello everyone..My sister's wedding is in April and with a relative's family overseas who cant make it personally, we are pondering the possibility of live streaming of the ceremony over the internet.. Given that we will somehow be able to hook up the video camera to a computer and I have the technical know-how to setup such a stream,1) Are there any companies/ISPs that would provide a good high bandwidth connection that would be able to stream such live streams?2) Also, the connection wouldn't be needed for more than 2 days or maybe, 4, at the maximum.. We could consider paying for a week if it comes to that too..Any other information as appopriate is also most welcome..Thanks for reading!Jiggs

take airtel, most reliable and gives 2mbps but only in data limit plans.I dont know about temp connection so call them to inquire about that.

Welcome to broadbandforum.co

Presume the connection required at a different location.
If you have BSNL L/L there, BB connection will be easier.
Go to nearest exchange and fill up the application.
( Nowadays connection given fast depending ,on locality/city/ rural etc )
You may decide to retain the connection for VOIP for some more
time.
Airtel will charge NON /refundable deposit ,
but connection provided within 2 or three days.

REF:
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.

option 1 :
BSNL Broadband -TEMPORARY CONNECTION

Particular Tariff in Rs.
Bandwidth Above 256 Kbps
Installation Charges 500 ( *avoid if you know modem settings)
Security deposit for modem1000 (* refundable)
Modem charges 200
Plan charges Double of the normal fixed monthly charges Additional usage charges As per plan applicable

Option 2 :
Select General Home 500 plans higher speed. 512kbps should be sufficient, even though 2 Mbps will be better.
and surrender after a month.

Note : The minimum charges shall be for a period of 15 days.[/quote]

If you want to stream, you need high bandwidth. Airtel / BSNL have upload speeds only upto 512 Kbps. That's not enough for streaming high quality video. Talk to some higher officer / ARC in Airtel / BSNL. See if you can get a custom solution for your needs. :)
