Exclusively available on eBay for Rs.2,999. Looks like a nice deal considering the price.

NEW Launch Intex Aqua 4X Mobile Phone 2MP CAM 3G 1 0GHz Dual Core Black | eBay

Intex guys be like, "Damn! Everyone's launching phones exclusive to online stores, let's launch one too" :-P

256MB RAM?
MediaTek Dual Core?
512MB Storage? 14MB usable?

This phone should sell for Rs. 500. Forget it... Intex should pay you to use it.

My bad. The listing says 'Capacity : 512MB' which I guess means total internal storage. So it is indeed 256MB.

512MB has to accomodate the Android OS and all the bloatware. So the usable space is <15MB. I wonder where does cache from apps go... lol. I am not sure why Intex even bothered to create this phone. It's not a phone. It's a brick.

This is the kind of device that Google should openly boycott. Disable Google Play Services to it completely. lol. You are barred from accessing our network for being too useless.

Exactly. I thought Google had become strict and there was some policy made which was supposed to force manufacturers to use a version of Android. This phone is still running 4.2.2 which is like two iterations old.

I am using Samsung Music duos (as secondary handset for calling only) which has Android 4.0. The phone is terribly slow sometimes even though I have rooted it and disable several bloatware. So I get bad feeling for Android.
But... I bought Samsung Grand 2 for my wife, and that handset is amazingly fast for any operation.

Based on my experience I totally agree that Google should make some minimum hardware requirement for handset to run Android OS. This Intex handset is big joke in name of Smartphone (if Intex thinks it is Smartphone).
