Iphone 4 using vodafone (hotspot/tethering)

Ok good then. I might not really be using hotspot as such so i am fine with 3G working in the phone only.
 
After 5 pages of discussion all I can add is Plug and playUsed Vodafone on 3GS 4 4S and all I did was start browsing and tethering as needed
 
Tethering works only when you are using the stock APN settings - in this case, for vodafone it is "iPhone". Walk into a vodafone store and request "iPhone services" to be activated on your SIM. Once that is activated then remove any custom APN settings that you haave setup. Your data services and personal hotspot both should be working now.

Vodafone is indeed a very funny organization to be polite.. I called up their CC.. First time they said that tethering is not activated on 2GB @ Rs 98 plan, its only activated for 3GB@Rs 198 plan. Second time they said that this feature is not applicable on iPhone.

I just now called them up and they said that this facility is not available on their system .One has to go to store to get details on this... Seriously any telecom company which thinks that for this data the customer should leave all his work and go to customer store is either mad or should take up some other business like catering.

PS -- I am on Vodafone Delhi circle using their 2G services.
 
^^The customer care people in most cases are clueless and usually they are reading from a pre-defined script so it is almost futile to make them understand anything.
