dude. it plays music. and you do not need to look at the player to control it. :Dipod touch is a delicate piece of hardware... ipod nano and shuffle are jokes if you have a huge library.

Seriously, do you realistically expect to play 160 GB worth of music.I have a 100 GB iTunes Library. My most frequently played/ high rated music is not more than 2 GB in that library. Those 2 GB of music and podcasts and some music videos totalling to about 7-8 GB is the only relevant media on my iTunes Library.Rest of it, I can live without. :)EDIT: I have a 160 GB iPod Classic. I rarely use it. My iPhone 2G 8GB model is the one I primarily use.Never really felt the need to use iPod Classic. It's a waste of MY money. :(

oh well. i am in no position to judge people when it comes to their need to have quick access to a huge library. i can listen to dev d songs all day long. i can listen to DCH songs all day long. but some people i guess have nicely organized library with playlists for different times of the day/mood/atmosphere. there is a good reason Apple itunes is a mega success. some people are just nuts about their music and music collections.

totally agree with you OP: Pardon me for following if u dont like!

I just wonder why wud ppl want ipod or ipod touch. I saw ipod touch, its so much restriction. You cant transfer music without itunes. Cant transfer with bluetooth. Itunes is not even intuitive. You cant organize folders on ipod itself, u have to use itunes to organize. Inbuilt speakers are so poor. U can hardly hear 2-3m far. Also music quality is so bad on inbuilt speakers. Effectively only 1 person (who has headset) can enjoy the song.

It wud be worth spending on multimedia mobile instead of ipod.
