Is Airtel curbing speed of Filesonic, Fileserve, Oron... and other file sharing sites?

No problems with filesonic, I get 220kBps on my 2mbps MTNL line.

Then it definitely is exclusive to Airtel .Getting pathetic speeds everywhere except youtube.The speedtest results are definitely misleading.The same places where I used to get blazing fast downloads a few days back are now down to a crawl.Either Airtel have been having serious problems with their bandwidth allocation or they are just trying to f**k with us again.Horrible, horrible people.

guyz it's very simple, do not waste money in premium accounts of filehosts.Get a VPS with 20-50GB HDD Space and Bandwidth which u need, and with 100MBPS or 1GBPS speed.Install Torrentflux in it, Download Torrents on your vps @ Super fast speed of 1GBPS ( a movie takes 5 seconds to download ) then download the file from the VPS to your pc @ FULL SPEEDS 
I always download via my Server and never use filehosts etc, This way you can also maintain high ratio. Also always use link-removed to download torrents as their torrents are always with super fast speeds, PM me if u want invitation of IPT

Sorry kinda new with these terms :\ What is a VPS and how do you get 1gbps speeds? 0_0
VPS: Virtual Private Server (web hosting on a platform bigger than shared hosting with dedicated resources available to you)
1gbps port can be available depending on the host you choose. No vps provides dedicated 1gbps port, this port is shared usually but better than 100mbps shared port.
If you are a complete newbie i won't suggest getting a VPS. You may end up just wasting your money. As most likely:
- The user who recommended a VPS use a program similar to rapidleech or something.
- The above program is very CPU intensive, so many reputable web hosts do not allow it.
- If the host finds you are downloading copyrighted material to their servers, they will just suspend your account and there will be no refund.
- If you still insist... get a VPS in Netherlands. They have good port speeds and are more lenient than US providers (but may cost more)
- VPS are mostly unmanaged specially if you gonna use it for DL's. You must know how to work in linux to be able to use it properly.
Now coming to airtel
- They throttle torrents
- They are starting to throttle file sharing sites
- The customer service is just not how it used to be before now.
- Their plans "suck" dumb FUP.
- They think it is perfectly normal to drop a guy from 4mbps to 256kbps after he reached FUP (seriously ? at least 512kbps would be acceptable)
- Sadly there is no other reliable provider here in Delhi.
Give us an another reputable provider in Delhi or if MTNL steps up it's services or Beam comes to Delhi... then good riddance Airtel.

aaand Microsoft Updates.. also the pings are being very weird. Could barely play online day before yesterday -_- But apparently for craptels service, if you can still open websites on your pc everything is just "OK"

Inki maa ki.Seriously though, I totally agree with your last post.I temporarily got a MTNL BB connection(oh how happy was I) this august but could not bear the outages and the pathetic customer care aunties who have absolutely no idea what they're talking about.Even their technician could not help me when he came to my place after a couple of weeks from the complaint registration. Kept hold of the airtel connection just in case.
So thats how it is.Either you get a mtnl connection and are lucky that it works correctly.
Or you just grind your teeth and stay with airtel who do what they want with your connection for which you already pay premium prices.The only other option(hardly) where I live are the usb dongles but they are just not feasible for me in lieu of my usage.
I seriously wish airtel ill and hope they fall into pieces(but not before I switch to a better provider in future).
