This has been happening for a while now at random times and i reported it many times to the LCO and he has been saying its my ONU that's causing the problem and in a few days he would replace it, also i reported the RX power being -25dBm+ and he told me that even -30dBm is fine and when it hits lower than that then it's gonna be a issue and also i don't know if its the cause of this issue. But i did a few tests for a while now and i think it's not the ONU that's causing the problem.
Here are the screenshots of the tests :
1. MTR Tool report when there has been dropping
2. MTR Tool report when the Internet was stable
3. Traceroute to Google when the Internet was not stable & stable
4. Traceroute to Twitter when the Internet was not stable & stable

What do you mean by unstable? The connection drops? PPPoE connection fails? PON link drops?
The Connection Drops most of the time and rarely it completely disconnects and reconnects ( i think the PPPoE connection fails then but not sure )

Maybe keep an eye when it happens, check if the PON link is stable ie red LOS light shouldn't be lit.

Also, during the instability period, see if the WAN interface continues to show as up/online in the ONU web UI.

PON link was stable and LOS light wasn't lit.

The WAN status showed up as Disconnected for a few seconds during midway after Packet Loss started happening and it reconnected with a new IP Address ( Image 1 )
note: this only happens rarely like once (or) twice in a day, while most of the time it's only the Packet Loss that keeps happening ( Image 2 )

I am also facing such issue. I thought that it is an issue with my ARCHER C6 but the issue is with the PON link.
Please check the signal. It must be -27 dBm or less numerically. If it is 25,complain to LCO and threaten of disconnection if not resolved.I was said the same.I threatened to disconnect and they are checking the whole line now.Hope to get is resolved soon.
Please be firm to LCO as signal will keep dropping as temperature increases as Signal will deteriorate further if there is a bend in the fiber link.
I suggest getting it resolved. Believe me,it is the issue with the PON Link.
And just to clarify,as the cable heats up in summer, the signal will deteriorate as if there is a bend,it will increase due to extension property of glass leading to higher signal loss.
