Hi, my fiber is BSNL since Apr 22, initially ethernet cable that come with it didn't work, so they configured the router wi-fi, and gave me username, password, but changed the username, password of the router.

Last month I bought a blue ethernet cable and connected it to my lap and Syrotech router, when I do that, suddenly all lights started blinking berserkingly abruptly- the behavior which indicates network activity, I checked and it only happens when laptop is turned on, always after booting, when laptop is turned off, it stays normally still, is this behavior normal?

Also my previous ethernet cables were all yellow, but since I got fiber wifi, I get rid of them all, where to buy a normal yellow ethernet cable that I get with both DSL as well as fiber routers?
would they be available in local computer and shops?
would they give me if I said looking for a yellow ethernet rj45 cable?
or online can someone recommend me a good quality build cable, short length one is more than enough for me.
and would it do the same of blinking abruptly even when there's no activity?

Also yes, I want to reset my router, configure it myself, and take back all control over my router like I said in another thread.

Please do reply,
regards.

@Shinji29 I would assume that you want to say that 'LAN1/2' is getting blink repetitively & Blue Cable refer to '1 - 10 GBPS Cable'
Regarding your Laptop being turned off, It means that your LAN Cable is not getting used and there is no trasmit between your Laptop and Router.
This is common while using your PC using Ethernet cable
But
If you refer to 'WAN' , 'LAN', '2G', '5G', 'Phone', 'Power' & 'WAN' Lights getting blink repetitively, It means that there is some issue in your Router. Your Router is having issue with LAN Cable connection or There is some technically issues in those flash light blinking.
If your don't face any internet issue/Router issues (Software) and Usage, You can just ignore that type of issue but if you think it is causing some issues? You can contact your Local ISP to get it resolved for you. (Either they will replace your Router or Fix it for you)

It totally depend on your Area/Locality as well as Computer shop. Most of the time, RJ45 Cable is available at shop keepers.

As WiFi works, the router connects to BSNL servers, accesses the Internet, and offers connection to connected devices (laptops/smartphones, etc.).
However, Wired LAN should also work.
ANY decent LAN (RJ45) cable will work, Cat5, Cat6, etc. There's no need for "Blue" LAN Cables that can reach 1Gbps. The BSNL connection bandwidth doesn't need these cables.
Equally important, get the Username and Password to log into the Syrotech Modem+Router Combo device. This will help you to save your settings as a backup and change SSID/Password.
Connecting a dedicated Wired+Wireless router to the Fiber Modem is usually recommended. Use the device provided by BSNL/LCO as a modem.
