ISP throttling speeds

I suspect my ISP is throttling my internet speeds. Before switching to One Broadband, I used to receive full speeds on most servers when downloading files through my web browser. However, with my current broadband connection, I mostly get only 2MB/s when downloading files from places like Google Chrome or Linux Mint ISO, even though I get full speed on most of the speed test sites.

Could you recommend any tests to help me determine if my ISP is indeed throttling my speeds? If I can confirm that they are indeed throttling, how should I report this issue to them, and what information should I provide?

I am using OneBroadband since March 2023 and haven't experienced throttling. I was on 300Mbps plan but DL speeds varied 150-250Mbps Max so changed it to 50Mbps plan and i get 55Mbps+ at all times.

2MBps is way too low like that's like 16Mbps and on any plan you should be getting more than this.

What's an IPERF test? How should I do it?

Also, there is consistent packet loss while I am gaming on fortnite and mamy other servers. I tried tracerouting different game servers on which I play and I was atlest getting 1% packet loss or more. The past 3 weeks I have raised multiple tickets with them and talked to the NOC teams a few times but it's still not solved.

Your iperf tests look fine, atleast a lot better than speeds you mentioned getting, but yes packet losses sometimes.

Whats your setup? like which router and ONT you're using and how are they configured?

Maybe try using ZyXEL as dumb ONU (Just use GPON authentication) and setup PPPoE (Use bridge on zyxel) on AC59U and plug in all Access points in this. considering Zyxel isn't able to handle that many devices.
