Hi all !!

I have Bsnl Type - II wifi modem, model no. ITI DNA-A211-I. Since yesterday it has stopped working. Only the power LED and ethernet LED is glowing. what could be the problem? Please let me know whether it is hardware or software problem. I am not able to open the Home page(192.168.1.1) of the modem also.

Thanks

Option 1:

Better check with BSNL Broadband section ( JTO) ( Nearest Exchange)
if on rent can be replaced.
if purchased outright within one year free replacement.
Do not try any Firmware upgrade.

Option 2:

You have to RESET the modem to FACTORY settings
to access 192.168.1.1 admin admin.
(RESET access either in rear of unit or bottom right side small round hole)
Option 3:
In Network tcp/Ip properties
enter
192.168.1.10
255.255.255.0
192.168.1.1
Apply Save.
Then try.

I think is a modem fault. Try if you can get a replacement. You can also try resetting the modem and check. There will be a small hole on the backside of your modem. Press and hold it for 30 seconds while the modem is ON. Use a refill for this purpose.

Thanks a lot fro giving the valuable advice. I could revive my modem by resetting it. I have another problem for this modem. Most of the time i have to reboot it several time beofre I could start getting the net. When the diagnostic test is run from the modem home page the last test line shows fail, which is "Ping primary Domain Server". what could be the reason for this? Thanks to you all in advance for sparing your precious time,

1.Please see "STICKY" post WA3002-G4 in this forum.
https://broadband.forum/bsnl-broadband/50052-bsnl-broadband-utstar-wa3002-g4/
similar menu pages.
2.
Change Mod mode to GDMT. ( In DSL menu page0 Uncheck adsl2 +
3.
Confirm whether you are using a Dialer Mode.
If so, In wan page unselect "Bridged" select PPP/PppoE
and enter userId and PW in wan page.
4.
You can also try Google dns 8.8.8.8. and 8.8.4.4
or open dns 208.67.220.220.
Enter in Modem DNS page and in Computer TCP/IP properties.

5. Check In Statistics ADSl menu SNR ATTN and give data here d/l and U/L
