Issues due to Annual Payment. How to change Plan

Guyz,I paid the annual payment for Home 500 plan in Nov 2007.This essentially means that i have paid for my broadband usage from 1st Nov 2007 to 31st Oct 2008.Now i wish to switch my plan from Home 500 to Home 500C plus.I went to the BSNL office in Ghaziabad and the Commercial officer said that it can not be done unless Rs2791 ( Rs2484 + taxes ) are submittedRs2791 is given by the accounting software of BSNL. Comm officer told me that this demand note needs to be addressed before any change of plan.1. They do not have any idea about how my money which is remaining from the annual payment of Rs5000 would be adjusted ( since i have already used for 6 months, so the remaining money would be 2500 )2. They do not know about the details of Rs2791 ( How this figure comes across )3. Lets suppose, i submit Rs2791 . Then BSNL would owe me (Rs2500 + Rs 2791 ) . Supposing they change my plan from 1st May, then it should run till 30th April 2009. But as usaual BSNL babus do not have any dumbest of idea about the calculationsHas anyone faced similar kind of problem.Please advise me as if what can be done in such a situation

You save on the existing telephone rental plan. That is the only advantage. 9.. Hi Essebee,Thanks for the reply.Firstly , sorry for the typo.... I wish to switch to Home 500C from Home 500 .which means that the monthly rent would be Rs500 instead of Rs600The advantage i will have is 175 free calls in Home 500C. But the whole purpose would stand defeated in case i will not get the rebate if i shit the plan midway in the year.Now please get me the involved calculations.

I had given general idea what BSNL will do.
Main point.
You have to ay @Rs 500 PM for previous 6 months. No Rebate.
You will shift from present telephone tariif to One India plan I think.

Plan change always happens from the 1st of the next month, even if it shows that the new plan has been provisioned in your portal. So, v_aadi, I would request you to check the portal and see if your "new plan" is "provisioned" or not. If it shows "provisioned", then its likely that you would be able to use the plan from 1st Sept.

Go to data.bsnl.in and check under My orders. Check for the word provisioned and effective date. Provisioned means plan has changed.
