Today, Paramount announced that Jack Reacher 2 will arrive in theaters Oct. 21, 2016.
Tom Cruise (Edge of Tomorrow) will return as the drifer and former U.S. Army Military Police Corps officer, but this he'll be directed by Ed Zwick. This is a reunion for the two as Zwick previously directed Tom Cruise in 2003's The Last Samurai.
The October release date puts Jack Reacher 2 up against Universal’s Ouija 2 and
Sony/Screen Gems’ Underworld 5.
