First of all, I'd like to ask if it's even possible and if anyone has been successful in doing this. Secondly, Jio Fiber has a single fiber run with a SC type connector, any specifications on it? Is it simplex, half-duplex, full-duplex? Thirdly, what is the preferred way of doing this? I'm eyeing two methods, setting up a pfSense on an old machine along with a media converter (TP-Link MC210CS) or using a 1U server with a 4x gigabit network card with the media converter. Will the Media Converter work and what recommended settings should I use for the NAT and other specifics that JIO cares about? There's absolutely no information online regarding pfSense on Jio Fiber and I assumed that a detailed guide, if possible is long overdue. Thanks!

Jio uses DHCP, so there is not much in way of configuration unless they reserve address based on fixed MAC. That is, if you are able to get the "GPON" part work.
