Jio Fiber and power cuts - Internet stops working even with powerbackup?

Ex: Airtel vFiber 24 Mbps and Jiofiber 150 Mbps
So I'm not that tech literate, but my JioFiber stops working during a power outage. What happens is as follows:
  • Light goes and the power backup comes back within 1-2 seconds
  • The JioFiber box light remains green, and all my TP-Link extenders remain switched on (My JioFiber box has a small, router power backup solution, connected to it anyways)
  • Wifi remains connected on my phone/tablet/laptop
During the above, the internet stops working for up to 5 minutes. This is even though the router and all other devices remain switched on during the effective 1-second power cut for me.

Any ideas? Is this an issue with my box, the local Jio connection, or something else?

Have you checked if the switchover to router power backup(RPB) happens instantly or if there is a delay? Even if the switchover delay is tiny(in milliseconds), then the router would need to re-acquire session credentials etc.

Probably try switching off the router manually from the plug, and see if it resets to initialise(like when powered on) state, when it switches to RPB. If that is the case, then handover to RPB has a delay which is as good as restarting the router.

Ideally, it is better to have the router on a line connected to the inverter.

So I checked by removing the plug for the RPB and browsing, using youtube, etc. Got no issues and was able to use internet normally.

Edit: The Jio Fiber technician came and saw some signal error from the box outside my house to the box. Fixed it and assured me it will be fine now.
Will update after checking for a few days.
