Jio Fiber is having issues with US traffic since last evening

@Dark_Nate maybe with jio they have some weird type of cost cutting by limiting uplink bandwidths. They also have to pay for their international transits isn't it so . I am not sure about it..😂😂
 
I am facing slowdowns to US servers for the past 2-3 days using Jio Fiber.

This is not limited to jio, even airtel is failing during morning hours. The problem gets resolved at 1PM and then reoccur next day.
AWS being the common link.
 
It's mostly in morning hours. For airtel it is whole day. And AWS is the main issue.

Jio seems to have deployed a more centralised network than the other players.
But the shared between is between the single port right ? Even if they have high split ratio it shouldn't matter much right?
GPON has 2.5gbps down and 1.5 Gbps up per port.
It is theoretically 2.5Gbps possible to each unit but that is also the total available bandwidth for all shared ONUs. Hence there would be some sort of traffic shaping if all were to be on higher speed plans.
In addition Jio is also providing voice and TV over the same link. That is why I think they have reduced the upload after commercial launch as they started the STB streaming. So certain amount of capacity is earmarked for that as well.
 
If BSNL can give symmetrical bandwidth on 100 Mbps plan using GPON in a small place like Shillong:

It seems like symmetrical GPON or rather XGS-PON is possible since around 2010?

So #AmbaniLogic it is. He's got billions of dollars. Implementing a truly symmetrical Fibre backhaul is easy task for him.
4G/LTE standard was adopted in 2008 but it became common only after 2014 and in India after 2016.
Similarly even 10-gpon are not that common except in places like Korea, Singapore etc. NG-PON is a futuristic technology and has not been adopted widely yet.
