Is anybody here using Jio Postpaid Mobile, I am looking for upgrading the Netflix plan to premium which is showing to me at 500 Rs extra.
My question is do I have to pay GST on this 500 Rs or the GST will be charged on the mobile plan only?

You are not charged GST extra. The bill breakup is done in way that the initial amount would be discounted of tax.

What's your Jio plan? I use the 199 + tax postpaid.

On Airtel the price includes tax. For my 300 M fibre connection I'd have to pay 450/month a Rs 200 discount on the price at their website. There's a catch though. As per a CS at 121 Airtel doesn't allow you downgrade back to Basic i.e. 0 charge which is included with the BB plan. Hope Jio doesn't do this.

@Chip I think you are paying more. If you are on Airtel 1599rs. fiber plan, Netflix UHD cost only 150rs.
Edit: My Mistake. It says Airtel Postpaid connection, not broadband.

@imdarkray Yes I have seen the Airtel plans as I have access to the thanks benefits on my Airtel fibre but not on the postpaid Airtel mobile connection. I keep these at minimum outgoing as I am mostly latched onto wifi and don't need much mobile data.

Netflix is however not showing up on my Jio app (no fibre only mobile connections) so enquired. If I upgrade my plan from Jio postpaid to Jio postpaid+ I get netflix mobile worth Rs 150 for free...I am sure that too has upgrade options to Basic/Standard/Premium so just wanted to find out a bit more what Jio offers vis a vis Airtel on Netflix and other OTTs. It may induce me to upgrade my Jio mobile plan.

I have a plan of 399Rs, and for the upgrade to the premium version, it's showing 500 Rs extra.
