Which cities have n258 bands deployed? I found this video of Airtel 5G using n258 band having above 5Gbps speed. That is insane! Has anyone tested out this band IRL

I don’t think it’s deployed anywhere. The handset ecosystem simply doesn’t exist for n258 band because only US imported iPhones 13 and up, Pixels 7 and few Samsungs have support for this band. Not a single phone is officially sold in India with n258 support either.

Isn't this being tested on a device typically used by the operators themselves? If this had been shown by somebody owning a US model of iPhone 13 or 14 it would have been credible.

The band is deployed for AIRFIBER outdoor units,
while jio is using it for airfiber max and airfiber plans, airtel is still deploying.

Is it exclusively for airfiber or will it also work with my android phone which support n258 band ( I am planning to import )

@saurabhh there's no N258 band deployed even for Airfiber they're using WiFi instead of mmWave. So Importing a device only for using mmWave is wastage

n258 band is the biggest wastage of telecom money. Governments all around the world scammed telecom companies by selling them garbage.

Apple has discontinued usage of n258 band in latest M4 iPad Pros and they are rumored to drop support from next iPhone models too.

I have iPhone 14 Pro Max US model and it has never ever latched to n258 band even after having support and a special case which exposes the antenna on the right side.
