I have a JioFiber JCOW414 router-modem combo that was replaced last year. Since yesterday afternoon there’s no internet. The router is on, the green light is steady, and the admin interface shows that it’s connected to the WAN properly. Still, there’s no internet access.
Here’s the unusual issue: I tried resetting the router to factory settings. The process seemed to complete, but my custom settings and SSID names were still there. It didn’t actually factory reset.
Also, I had set up Pi-hole on a Raspberry Pi to use as my DNS resolver. This morning, I reset the DNS settings to “DNS from ISP.” However, after rebooting the router, it reverted to the Pi-hole’s IP that I had configured earlier.
I’m not sure what’s going on or how to fix it. Any suggestions?
